Student Programs

Jebreen & Walsh LLP runs volunteer student programs for law students and clerks. This is a great opportunity for students to obtain hands-on legal experience while completing their studies.

Law students are given assignments from the firm's current caseload and will gain valuable research and legal drafting skills. You will have the opportunity to draft correspondence, memorandums, pleadings and factums, attend client meetings, participate in strategy sessions and perhaps accompany a lawyer to court. You will also become familiar with the practical realities of running a firm and handling clients' files. Please note that these positions are for first, second and third year law students. We do not have an articling program at this time.

Law clerk students participate in the management of litigation and real estate files assigned to them. You will be involved in preparing court documents, serving and filing documents, ensuring deadlines are met, communicating with the court and working directly with the lawyers at the firm.

If you are interested in gaining experience in civil litigation, real estate or wills and estates we invite you to call our office for information.

Here is what one of our previous students has said about his experience at our firm:

My experience working at J&W Law has been an integral part of my legal career. I had the opportunity to develop and refine my skills as a student law clerk and worked full time as a law clerk for J&W Law after I completed my internship. The diverse experience I gained from their team of knowledgeable professionals has proven invaluable as I further my career as a legal assistant for a large international law firm. J&W Law helped me build a solid foundation of diverse skills that has proven beneficial in many different areas of law.  Scott H.
